When it comes to my underwear, the code words are ‘100% mismatch’ and ‘cotton hipsters from H&M’. Luckily the new BF finds that very amusing. Nevertheless I like what I saw today: the artistic collages of the Dutch nominees that join the yearly design competition for international fashion students of lingerie manufacturer Triumph.
This year 60 candidates from ArtEZ hogeschool voor de kunsten (Arnhem), Hoge School voor de Kunsten Utrecht and Willem de Kooning Academie (Rotterdam) used their talent, creativity and inspiration to design a showpiece with the theme ‘Icons’. At a special event in the Amsterdam Supperclub, 3rd of June next, one of the 15 nominees will be the Dutch winner. That means she or he will attend the international final in Milan in September 2009.
The lucky winner of the Triumph Inspiration Award will receive an amount of 15,000 euros and the winning design will be adapted for production and sold at selected Triumph stores worldwide. I think it’s a great initiative of Triumph that both cash and product realization are offered as a prize in this talent competition.
BRAVO and fingers crossed for the Dutch!
