We Love You So
I heart the work of director Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaption and numerous cool videos of artists like Björk, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys and Fatboy Slim) and can’t wait for his new movie Where the Wild Things Are that will be released in October 2009. Where the Wild Things Are is directed by Spike Jonze and written by him and the author Dave Eggers, and based on the classic children’s picture book of author and illustrator Maurice Sendak.
October is still far away, but Spike Jonze understands how to generate rumour around the brand and to keep his fans updated in a modern way by blogging personally about his latest piece of art at We Love You So. The blog tells us: “The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees. This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that have converged to make this massive project a reality. Simply put, this a place to learn about things we think are great and to share with you the things those things helped make. Wild Things indeed… And also probably a lot of other randoms things that catch our eye along the way.”
Oh, I like that so much!
Not sure if it’s on We Love You So, but I also found this funny short film of Spike testing out one of his ‘scary’ masks:
