Lazy sunny afternoon in winter
The French fashion brand Sessùn launches her second music album ‘Sessùn Songs Collection II’.
When listening to it, I got the lazy, sunny afternoon feeling on a cold Wednesday evening. It combines retro sounds with folk and a dash of synthpop. I can imagine the Sessùn signature, visible in the outfits, would sound like that.
The album is compiled by Sessùn designer Emma François in collaboration with dj Sundae (Hollie Records) and Guillaume Sorge (Discodeine and ALAINFINKELKRAUTROCK) and contains tracks of Mazzy Star, The Durutti Column, Julie Doiron, Connan Mockasin, Best Coast, Grab Grab The Haddock, Holy Shit, Emily Jane White, Electrelane, Dominant Legs, Toro Y Moi & Sibylle Baier.
Well, most names I haven’t ever heard of, but who cares about names anyway?
The album is available for 15 euros online and at stores that sell Sessùn, like Fresh 15 in Antwerp. A petite boutique at the Lombardenvest, one of my favorite Antwerp shopping streets. I visited Fresh 15 last week and discovered that Sessùn relaunched some shoe models of last winter. Shoes I was totally in love with, but couldn’t find in my size anymore at that time. Now I did!
